Lessons From My Teenager A project of Familius (see other related projects). Permanently Closed: This project is permanently closed to submissions. We provide the following information as an archive. About Familius is now exploring what teenagers have to teach us in a new project called Lessons From My Teenager. Unrealistic? Ridiculous? We don’t think so. The teenage years can be both the most exciting time and the most trying time of our lives. All of us have gone through this experience and remember the freedom, the vitality, the strength, the unlimited potential, the fun, the newness of it all. We also remember the dangers, the worries, the stress, the bullies, the classes, and the burden of trying to become something our parents and teachers wanted us to become. But as we get older, we tend to forget the lessons we learned as teens and how they are applicable even in the sunset years of our lives. Lessons From My Teenager is a tremendous opportunity to celebrate the life lessons teenagers around us teach every day. Sometimes we spend so much time lecturing we fail to see what their life and their experiences provide for us. We know that you have been impressed, that you’ve been taught, as much as you hate to admit it, by the teenagers you either live with, work with, or bump into on the sidewalk. And if not, we know that somewhere along your own teenage path you learned something that inspires you to this day. We encourage you to share what you’ve learned.
