Neo-Legends to Last a Deathtime A project of KY Story (see other related projects). Permanently Closed: This project is permanently closed to submissions. We provide the following information as an archive. About From Adairville to Zebulon, Kentucky is full of battlefield, hollers, and historical houses, cabins, and forts—eerie places that lend themselves to the odd, the spooky, and most of all, entertaining stories. All it takes to submit is a map, a Google, and a story rooted in a factual Kentucky place, even if you are in Timbuktu. So, give us your ghosts, ghouls, and goblins, fairies, freaks (of nature or mind), or whatever you imagine, and tell us about it or them in a legend, fable, or fairy-tale. S-t-r-e-t-c-h the historical truth or just your imagination. Just how did the signers of the Versailles Treaty of 1918 wind up in Versailles, Kentucky? Were the Vikings responsible for those missing sheep in Paducah? You tell us where, what, who, and why in a short story, flash fiction, or poem. We want eclecticism in form, content and style.
