One Strange Day An As Alive Journal x Snoozine Collaborative Anthology

A project of As Alive Journal

Permanently Closed: This project is permanently closed to submissions (January 2026). We provide the following information as an archive.

About

One Strange Day is a collaborative Issue presented in two parts: Daydream and Nightmare. We want to be scared by the daylight by a dark fairy tale and comforted in the night by a lullaby that will haunt our dreams. When in doubt, give us work that is odd, experimental, and downright unforgettable.

Daydream submissions will explore an hour between 06:00 to 17:00 (6 am - 5 pm)

We're looking for: the whimsical, the inevitable. Thoughts and actions that are conscious, if a little delirious.

Nightmare submissions will explore an hour between 18:00 to 00:00 (6pm - 5am)

We're looking for: the surreal, the unknown. Everything is out of control, but there's nothing you can do to stop it.
