The Dark Side of Purity Anthology

A project of Band of Bards

Permanently Closed: This project is permanently closed to submissions (July 2022). We provide the following information as an archive.

About

How do you feel about society’s obsession with women’s virginity and chastity? Do you have something to say about Purity Culture and the harm it causes? Are you angered by the recent assaults on reproductive rights? Here’s your chance to put those thoughts to the page and SAY something about it. Join us. Curated and edited by Lindz McLeod, one of DSoP’s creators, this will be a charity anthology of flash fiction, poetry, and art. When the Kickstarter campaign reaches 250 pledgers, a copy of this zine will be given to every backer as a digital reward. It will also receive its own cover, and will feature a flash piece by Eli Hayden Loft, one of the writers from the prose volume. This call for donated pieces is open to all. After the campaign, it will be available for sale through the Band of Bards website, and all proceeds will go to NARAL. Band of Bards will be keeping no profit from this: it is purely for charity.
