The Monsters Next Door Anthology Series

A project of Critical Blast Publishing (see other related projects).

Permanently Closed: This project is permanently closed to submissions (January 2026). We provide the following information as an archive.

About

The Monsters Next Door will be accepting 20 short stories, each one focused on a monster living in a mundane setting. The Tudor house across from you may be Dracula's summer home. That apartment down the hall may be Cthulhu's downsizing goal. The hairy guy who just moved into the trailer court sure does make a lot of noise during the full moon.

The genre may be classic horror, comedy, science fiction -- so long as your story meets the theme, it is up for consideration.
