Oxford Flash Fiction Prize

About

15 members set this contest as a Favorite.

Write yourself into history and become one of the greats with the Oxford Flash Fiction Prize. Here in one of the oldest towns, where the history of the English language can be traced back to its ancient streets, we want to celebrate one of the newest forms in literature – flash fiction – with a competition. Oxford has inspired some of the greatest creative writers and poets in the world, and we’re here to expand its legacy into flash fiction. Join the likes of PD James, JRR Tolkien, C.S.Lewis and Vera Brittain, and be inspired to look beyond the walls, the cloisters and abbeys, and above the city of dreaming spires. Delight us, surprise us, scare us. Take that leap of faith and send us your stories.

Fees Notice: This project charges fees (or requires purchases) for all submissions, except for students and in cases of financial hardship. The fee range is GBP £7 to £15.
