About

Polymatheia, the Poetic Art Prize, is an annual artistic award generously sponsored by Revue {R}évolution. This prestigious competition celebrates artists who bring a multifaceted approach to their craft. Before entering our contest, it is essential to grasp the essence of polymathy. Revue {R}évolution provides abundant resources to help you understand polymathy. Polymathy is not synonymous with creative narcissism, a lack of intellectual rigor, biased curiosity, perpetual improvisation, or the outright rejection of specialization–frequently perceived as sophistication, but in reality, amounting to nothing more than opinion and pure dilettantism. Even luminaries like Leonardo da Vinci, who ventured into extremely diverse domains of Knowledge, never called themselves "polymaths." Polymathy is a quality brought to one’s work, not an individual, and certainly not intellectual and creative disorder.

Fees Notice: This project charges fees (or requires purchases) for all submissions, and they do not offer monetary payment for accepted submissions.
