Revisions/Revisiting Poetry Contest A project of Echolocation (see other related projects). Permanently Closed: This project is permanently closed to submissions. We provide the following information as an archive. About Echolocation invites entries for its 2012 POETRY CONTEST on the theme of REVISIONS/REVISITING. Do you have multiple versions of a poem you have worked on for years? Are there cities or ideas you would like to revisit? Are there pieces of art that you would want to re-work, or places you would re-imagine? We seek poetry that explores the notion of multiple versions and of trying to get it right this time. What flaws in the landscape have you always wanted to correct or alter? What literary classic has always irked you and begged for a rewrite? What unfashionable school of thought do you think should be reappraised? The winner of this contest will have 50 copies of a limited-edition broadsheet printed on letterpress with Massey College’s master printer, and receive 5 copies. The remainder will be sold at our spring fundraiser and through our website in support of Echolocation magazine. Five finalists will have their work included in a digital e-chapbook published on Echolocation’s website. All finalists, and the winner, will be invited to read during the broadsheet launch and our spring fundraiser, to be held in mid-May, date TBA.
