The Muriel Craft Bailey Memorial Award A project of The Comstock Review (see other related projects). About The Muriel Craft Bailey Award is the single-poem prize of the Comstock Review, now nearing its 40th year in print. Each year we seek a celebrity judge to help us select three winning poems from a selection of 25 or so poems that have been whittled down to the very best by our staff of volunteer poetry editors. Each poem is read with care and kindness.Poems are read blind, without regard to a poet's name or publication history. Each poem must stand on its own, within the guidelines, and be effective in its approach and use of language. Each poem has the same chance as the next. Sing to us.Don't be afraid to enter. Believe in your work. Not everyone can win, but my goodness the journey is worth it. On both ends. Fees Notice: This project charges fees (or requires purchases) for all submissions.
