About When I think of SQ I think of the friend that you have who spends most of his time downstairs in the basement. You visit everyday and play video games or read comic books. I picture finding SQ in a stack of magazines in that basement. As the editor, I am looking for the edgy, fearless quality that other magazines say they desire but fall short on. I want to give the opportunity to those writers who aren’t afraid of the word fuck. (But know when and how to use it properly without being vulgar or juvenile.) I’m looking for brave, challenging work. SQ accepts short, flash fiction and poetry.
