About

Grain, the journal of eclectic writing, serves readers and writers by publishing quality literature from Canadian and international writers, and by nurturing the writing of Saskatchewan-based authors.

Grain is an award-winning literary quarterly magazine that publishes engaging, challenging, and ground-breaking writing and art.

Every issue features superb new writing from both developing and established writers. Each issue also highlights the unique artwork of a different visual artist. Grain has garnered national and international recognition for its distinctive, cutting-edge content and design.

The magazine is published by the Saskatchewan Writers' Guild.

Fees Notice: This project charges fees (or requires purchases) for some submissions. They charge fees for people outside of Canada (electronic submissions only).
The fee is CAD $5 (average for magazines that charge).
