About

Liars' League is a themed short fiction performance night based in central London (UK), where the stories are written by emerging authors, read by professional actors, and watched by a literature-loving crowd. Liars' League stories have been broadcast on BBC Radio 4, published in award-winning print anthologies by our partners Arachne Press, and performed at festivals and events up and down the UK, and our alumni have gone on to write bestselling novels in the UK and US. So submit your very best work to us (this goes double if you're female, as only about 1/3 of our submissions come from women): we really want to read your stories!

Important: Demographic restrictions may vary. Check current theme calendar for details.

Before Submitting

We cannot guarantee that the information on this page is correct. It is not unusual for publications to evolve or close without notice. We do our best to keep up, but it isn't always possible. Duotrope listings do not imply endorsement or recommendation of the project being listed. Before submitting, you should use your own judgment to determine whether the project meets your standards.

  • Always read the full guidelines provided by the publisher.
  • Try to read at least one previous publication to get a better idea of what the editor would like to see.
  • Unless the publisher's guidelines state otherwise, always use industry standard manuscript formatting.
  • Be professional, patient, and persistent.
