About

Riptide is an Exeter-based literary journal founded in 2006 by Virginia Baily and Sally Flint. Riptide publishes new writing by established and emerging writers. We are committed to providing a forum for high quality, innovative fiction, expanding the readership of the short story, and enhancing its standing. We aim to include new voices in every issue. Riptide is currently collaborating with University of Exeter’s MA Publishing, working with postgraduate students through a process of practice-based research to produce, build readerships for, and curate conversations around an annual edition of the journal.
