About

The Ice Lolly Review was founded on a hot August day in 2020. We are a non-profit online magazine and our purpose is to provide young writing enthusiasts everywhere with a platform and a spotlight to recognize creative and powerful pieces. As writers ourselves we understand the impact recognition and appreciation have had on our own writing journeys. Our purpose is to uplift young writers and encourage them. We look for works that "stick" to us and have a distinct flavour. We accept submissions in different languages and we also nominate pieces for "Best of the Net" because we believe writers deserve as much recognition as possible.

Important: Limited Demographic: Submissions are restricted to ages 12-26.

Before Submitting

We cannot guarantee that the information on this page is correct. It is not unusual for publications to evolve or close without notice. We do our best to keep up, but it isn't always possible. Duotrope listings do not imply endorsement or recommendation of the project being listed. Before submitting, you should use your own judgment to determine whether the project meets your standards.

  • Always read the full guidelines provided by the publisher.
  • Try to read at least one previous publication to get a better idea of what the editor would like to see.
  • Unless the publisher's guidelines state otherwise, always use industry standard manuscript formatting.
  • Be professional, patient, and persistent.
