June Road Press 6

About

Books enable truth, beauty, and lived experience to be shared through time and space. They stick around; they stick with us. June Road Press aims to make books that lead readers to new places of connection, understanding, and discovery—books that guide and enrich, that transport and inspire, that help us slow down to better know our environment and each other. We want these to be works of broad and lasting resonance that also speak in singular ways to our present moment—meaningful and finely crafted things to keep, share, and revisit. We think of them as artisanal products in an increasingly mechanized world. Our mission is to advance accessible and authentic literary explorations of landscape and place, time and memory—journeys of all kinds—particularly from first-time authors and emerging writers representing a range of perspectives and voices.

Before Submitting

We cannot guarantee that the information on this page is correct. It is not unusual for publications to evolve or close without notice. We do our best to keep up, but it isn't always possible. Duotrope listings do not imply endorsement or recommendation of the project being listed. Before submitting, you should use your own judgment to determine whether the project meets your standards.

  • Always read the full guidelines provided by the publisher.
  • Try to read at least one previous publication to get a better idea of what the editor would like to see.
  • Unless the publisher's guidelines state otherwise, always use industry standard manuscript formatting.
  • For book publishers, it is standard to submit a cover letter, synopsis, and sample instead of the full manuscript. Do this unless otherwise instructed.
  • Be professional, patient, and persistent.
