About

42opus is an online journal of literature and the arts. Although we archive in quarterly issues, new work is published online every week, usually many times each week. Contributors to 42opus have won NEA, Guggenheim, Ingram-Merrill, and Fulbright fellowships, among others. They have won and been finalists for such prestigious awards as the National Book Award, the Bess Hokin Award, the O Henry Prizes, Pushcart Prizes, the Walt Whitman Award, and the James Hearst Poetry Prize. They also contribute to a wide range of literary journals from The New Yorker, Poetry, and The Paris Review to The Iowa Review, Field, and jubilat to Fence and Verse.
