About A Cruel World is looking for those pieces that stretch the imagination to boundaries often ignored by mainstream press. We want hard stories containing violence, sex, dirty words, etc. Crime Fiction and Mysteries are what we’re after, but that doesn’t mean we will close our eyes to exceptional works in other fields. Science Fiction and Fantasy, Horror and poetry are accepted but please remember to include an element of nastiness in your work. Romantic stories will be tough to push through unless the feature some bit of cruelty that really knocks our socks off. Pornographic stories, although unlikely to be published, will be greatly enjoyed by the staff. In other words, if you think it’s tough, let us read it. If we think it’s tough, we’ll share it with the World.
