A Field Guide to Surreal Botany

Permanently Closed: This project is permanently closed to submissions. We provide the following information as an archive.

About

The Surreal Botanists Association - in conjunction with Two Cranes Press - will publish a comprehensive field guide to surreal botany. Too long has the scientific and gardening community ignored the world of surreal flora. It is our hope to compile a resource of all available surreal plants, along similar lines to A Field Guide to Behemothic Herpetofauna by Dr. Dean Jameson (last seen in the Amazon, presumed eaten). All accepted entries will be illustrated (if illustratable) by noted botanical artist Janet Chui. Authors are advised to keep submissions below 500 words, though longer lengths will be considered if the plant is an exceptional discovery. Please be as specific as possible in your visual descriptions so as to receive the most accurate pictorial representation of your discovery.
