A Narrow Fellow This project is on indefinite hiatus. Check their site to find out whether this is a submission and/or publication hiatus. (September 2016) About A NARROW FELLOW is a literary journal showcasing the art of poetry. The name of our journal comes from one of Emily Dickinson's poems about “a narrow fellow in the grass.” Each issue pairs the very best in contemporary poetry with a featured artist. Our poems are one page in length. Poems that tell stories. Heavy on edgy narratives. Read Gregory Orr's “Temperaments of Poetry” to get an idea of what we think makes a great poem. You’ll read fresh voices as well as outstanding work from established poets in ANF. We like jigsaw puzzles with a few pieces missing. Or trips to exotic locales—as long as you draw us a map. Our poems use raw sugar instead of processed white. A good snake poem is cool every once in a while, but we are not into breeding ball pythons. You will not find many rhymes or clichés on our pages.
