Adagio Verse Quarterly

Permanently Closed: This project is permanently closed to submissions. We provide the following information as an archive.

About

Concerning poetry submissions, we seek work that demonstrates craft; that work which incorporates color, sound, amazing image and conceptual understanding of poetic device. We prefer free verse, as subjective as that term may be. Do not submit workshop pieces. Save them for your favorite aunt. All styles will be considered, though we tend to shy away from rhyming or long pieces, unless they are well written and presented with purpose. Epic length pieces will most likely be rejected. We request that poetry be no longer than 60 lines. Please keep in mind: competition is keen. You won't find work in any issue of Adagio Verse Quarterly that Poetry.Com might publish.

Before Submitting

We cannot guarantee that the information on this page is correct. It is not unusual for publications to evolve or close without notice. We do our best to keep up, but it isn't always possible. Duotrope listings do not imply endorsement or recommendation of the project being listed. Before submitting, you should use your own judgment to determine whether the project meets your standards.

  • Always read the full guidelines provided by the publisher.
  • Try to read at least one previous publication to get a better idea of what the editor would like to see.
  • Unless the publisher's guidelines state otherwise, always use industry standard manuscript formatting.
  • Be professional, patient, and persistent.
