About

Alba is a literary and arts magazine founded in 2024 that provides a welcoming space for writers with ties to Puerto Rico.
We are fascinated by poetry, essays of all kinds (especially creative writing, personal essays, research short papers, and those that cover music and food), short stories, book and exhibition reviews, and artist profiles. If you engage with another type of writing not mentioned here, please let us know! Alba is always open to expanding and learning.
We aim to bridge gaps between generations of writers and artists and create a hospitable environment of support, growth, and community. We highly encourage those from historically marginalized communities, including but not limited to women, LGBTQIA+, Afro-Puerto Ricans, and Indigenous Puerto Ricans, to submit
