About

Amaranth is a digital journal of food writing and art. It aims to connect a global community of food writers, design thinkers and culinary storytellers from Calcutta to Calgary through sensitive and engaging storytelling. The journal invites verbal and visual narratives on the broad theme of FOOD that are – above all – deeply and eloquently human. It publishes a wide range of creative endeavors and assemblages on food such as food stories, memoirs, vignettes, poems, photo-essays, drawings and other illustrative arts. At Amaranth, we celebrate writing and art that are eloquent, bewitching, subtle, witty, aesthetic, elegant, quirky, perceptive, restorative, humorous and DELIGHTFUL.
