Amoeba A project of Dispoetic Press This project is believed to be defunct. (October 2010) About Dispoetic is a small press publishing post-poetry. By which we mean, the stuff that comes after poetry. We’re always hearing people talk about what is or isn’t a poem, and frankly we’re sick of it. Especially since no one really agrees. We represent a movement away from pedantry toward a post-poetic world, where the artistic merit of a work is more important than whether or not it adheres to a checklist. Poetry had a good run, but it’s time for something new. If you’ve ever shown a piece to someone who said “That’s not poetry!” before breaking into sobs at your soiling of their previously-pristine form, you’ve come to the right place. We are currently taking submissions for our e-zine Amoeba.
