So, who are we? A chaotic disaster fueled by the dream of creating a space where art lives in conversation with one another. Our philosophy is that art tends to be inspired by other works of art. With that in mind, using art mediums, art pieces, art-ists, we use them to start a conversation for you to fill in the blanks. All art is art as far as we’re concerned. Our motto for this fine platform is if you think its art, we’ll review it.

Anyone has the ability to make art, whether its stick figures or a photorealistic drawing. We attempt to take the art we receive and put them together to create a story, a conversation, a narrative of sorts. If we think paint smashing by dogs is art, then we can certainly make art ourselves. With so many different art forms out there, who are we to limit the conversation? I mean, we wouldn’t say no to an animal smash painting, either.

Art is a tool for expression. A way to take the swirling nonsense within your brain and put it out there. Some say it’s a form of release from the trappings of the mind. Others say it’s an escape of the reality of our world. And some say it’s a bunch of crap thrown together. Either way, we vibe off the chaos.

As a non-binary owned business, Brown Bag built to be as accessible, inclusive, and sustainable. As a resule, we are learning and improving along the way. Regardless of background, identity, views, etc., we welcome you to an ongoing pit of people running around, carrying our heads so we don’t lose them. It’s mainly a lot of exciting finagling of creation and community.
