BULL

About

BULL is dedicated to rewriting modern masculinity from the voices that most often get drowned out amongst the shouting and posturing—voices that often struggle in silence and shame.

We're looking for anybody with a story to tell about masculilnity. Whoever you are, whatever you identify as, and wherever you come from, we want to hear from you. If you’re hurting, if you’ve got things you need to let go of, things you need to let out, if you don’t quite know how you fit into all this we’ve been told we should fit into, if you think you’re the only one with such a weird, ugly, messed up, complicated story, we’re here to help you be heard.

We want stories that are raw, gritty, complicated, contradictory, ugly, and uncomfortable. We don't want easy answers, glorification, propaganda, proselytizing, patting each other on the backs, or shock value for the sake of shock value.

Before Submitting

We cannot guarantee that the information on this page is correct. It is not unusual for publications to evolve or close without notice. We do our best to keep up, but it isn't always possible. Duotrope listings do not imply endorsement or recommendation of the project being listed. Before submitting, you should use your own judgment to determine whether the project meets your standards.

  • Always read the full guidelines provided by the publisher.
  • Try to read at least one previous publication to get a better idea of what the editor would like to see.
  • Unless the publisher's guidelines state otherwise, always use industry standard manuscript formatting.
  • Be professional, patient, and persistent.
