Buzzard Picnic This project is believed to be defunct. (May 2012) About Buzzard Picnic is currently looking for short fiction, memoir, essay, criticism, book and story reviews, and author interviews. Additionally, relevant comic strips, art and/or design will be considered for publication. Because Buzzard Picnic is a young venture, its thematic drive is still being worked out. I cannot tell you exactly what I am looking for, except that I’ll know it when I see it. I want to be moved; I want the world described to me in a way that makes it both easily recognizable and new and terrifying at the same time. My personal philosophy as an editor is that writing ability almost always trumps plot.
