Chameleon Dream Permanently Closed: This project is permanently closed to submissions. We provide the following information as an archive. About If Weird Tales is the literary equivalent of a carnival freakshow, then Chameleon Dream is the amusement park at the other end of the fairgrounds. It is the literary equivalent of a screaming ride on an out of control rollercoaster, a neon-heavy trip through a haunted house, or even an awkward yet romantic moment at the top of a ferris wheel. And it is all done with words (okay, and a little bit of smoke and mirrors thrown in to boot). Its issues are thematic. Like a true chameleon its skin will change to blend in with whatever we drop the little lizard on. For one issue it might be Sci-Fi and then Fantasy in the next. Still other times it might be Steampunk, Weird Western, International Espionage or even Contemporary Suburban Mischief. Quite plainly, instead of pinning the dream down to just one dimension, we look for the best stories we can find and then make a space for them. If the story is worth reading - the lizard will find a place for it.
