Themes of interest include, but are not limited to: the individual, alienation, society, and the mob; spirituality, sin, and redemption; coming of age; social and economic class; ambition, hopes, and illusions; nature and the land; the rural and the urban; the gothic, the surreal, and the strange. We are drawn especially to works with a certain timeless and human quality, and to writers with a strong vision and voice.
We welcome work that does not fall neatly into any one of these themes, or that break traditional American literary motifs or conventions.
We’re looking to discover and support the next generation of Great American Writers.
