Contemporary Rhyme This project is believed to be defunct. (March 2010) About Rhymed poetry only. I take a liberal view of "rhyme": assonance, slant rhyme, etc. are all perfectly acceptable. Traditional and modern styles are both fine. No restrictions on content. Contemporary Rhyme is unlike many other poetry journals in that it is truly a "freedom of speech" zone (perhaps the fact that I'm a librarian has something to do with that...). I am interested in the full range of the human experience. You do not have to keep to a particular ideology or possess a certain outlook on life or write in the latest popular style to have your work valued and accepted here. If it rhymes, and if I think it's really good, I will accept the piece.
