With Rebel Writers not having a centralized home, a deal was struck between three friends to pool their creative efforts in order to launch a subversive press. In 2008 the first issue of Criminal Class Review hit various bookstores across the country. As we’ve grown, our focus has expanded to the full range of the sinister spectrum. Though the heart of our bowery still beats for traditional crime stories, Criminal Class welcomes today’s writers who possess a unique and savage voice—cleverly crass, vivaciously vindictive, and sometimes complemented with a comical zest. Bring us your tales bred from betrayal, deception, violence, and corruption. The spirit of the streets still runs rampant at C.C.P.! If you have what it takes to bleed onto the page, consider our magazine a second home. Be bold and laugh in the face of rejection, mockery, and judgment.
