About

MISSION: We at Cutthroat are dedicated to providing a safe space for a diversity of writers. There is no room for the rhetoric of hate and fear in our pages or in any facet of our publishing practice. We strive to publish work that promotes equity, truth, and justice, work that addresses such important issues as racism, sexism, homophobia, xenophobia, etc. We promote equity for all races, cultures and creeds, LGBTQ Rights, women's rights, immigrant rights, animal rights, the rights of the differently abled, and environmental justice, work that promotes the wild inside and out and enhances the human condition as well as the condition of all beings on our planet. We believe in freedom of speech, freedom from oppression, we believe in Indigenous language preservation, and in supporting such movements as Black Lives Matter, No More Deaths, and #Metoo.

Fees Notice: This project charges fees (or requires purchases) for all submissions, and they do not offer monetary payment for accepted submissions. (Note: About 8% of magazines always charge fees.)
The fee is USD $3 (average for magazines that charge).

Before Submitting

We cannot guarantee that the information on this page is correct. It is not unusual for publications to evolve or close without notice. We do our best to keep up, but it isn't always possible. Duotrope listings do not imply endorsement or recommendation of the project being listed. Before submitting, you should use your own judgment to determine whether the project meets your standards.

  • Always read the full guidelines provided by the publisher.
  • Try to read at least one previous publication to get a better idea of what the editor would like to see.
  • Unless the publisher's guidelines state otherwise, always use industry standard manuscript formatting.
  • Be professional, patient, and persistent.
