About

Faraway is an independent literary journal based out of southern California’s Inland Empire. Faraway’s main goal is to get new up-and-coming writers and artists into print, so that they can receive the exposure that they deserve. Art and literature are the foundations of culture, and are an important part of society. In addition to cherishing the great works written hundreds of years ago by Shakespeare or carved by Michelangelo, it is important to continue producing art, to make it easy for new writers and artists to become known, and to support these people in their ventures. If you have an interest in literature, if you enjoy a good read now and then that isn’t the James Patterson drivel that flows into bookstores in an endless stream, if you believe in supporting the arts, or if you are a writer in any genre, an artist in any medium, or a musician in any style, Faraway has what you are looking for, and can help you as you start out along the path to becoming an artist.
