About

Writing is all about helping each other to achieve greatness, and we want to be a part of your story. Fat Cat Magazine is the new (and maybe kinda uncool) kid on the block, and we're passionate about giving a home to the words of writers, especially those at the beginning of their careers. We founded this magazine because we decided we didn't want to wait around for opportunities to come our way—we wanted to be the creators of our own destinies. And together, with you, we want to seek out great works and share them with the world.

We're not too bothered about genre here, anything goes. All we care about is the quality. Move us, woo us, bring us to tears, make us sort of confused. We are especially interested in work that is sometimes harder to find a home, such as, weird fiction, experimental, the gothic, cross-genre, spooky but not quite horror, lgbtqia+ themes. So go ahead, surprise us!
