About

Fiction & Poetry was born from the underground literary scene in New York City. As it is for the poetry readings in dim bars, or the fiction workshops held ad hoc in basements, or the working cohorts with no institutional affiliation meeting in cafes, the magazine was founded solely out of passion for the two things we aim to publish. Our focus is simple — to champion practitioners of literary craft, no matter the author's pedigree or lack thereof. To do good work, publishing good work.
