About

Five on the Fifth is an online literary magazine. Five on the Fifth publishes five selected pieces on the fifth of every month.

We pride ourselves in our quick response time and monthly publication schedule. As writers ourselves, we understand how frustrating it can be to wait several months before receiving a response from most literary magazines. Or waiting to submit work to magazines that only publish once every quarter or once every year.

We aim to change this in not only reviewing submissions and sending out responses quickly, but also publishing writing on the fifth of every single month without fail. We believe this helps many up-and-coming writers get their work out there faster. We can’t think of a better way to support the writing community.

Voluntary Fees: This project accepts voluntary fees for "tip jar" submissions.
Important: Wait at least five months after receiving a response before submitting again.
