flo. is a seasonal literary magazine dedicated to publishing short stories, creative nonfiction, poetry, and visual art by writers residing in or writing about the Ottawa-Gatineau area. It focuses on works dealing with notions of time, transition, and space. Ottawa-Gatineau sits at the intersection of three great rivers and two provinces, all the while existing as a liminal space between two of the biggest Canadian cities. It marks a place of communion, transition and fluidity. With each issue, flo. attempts to capture the ebb and flow of an ever changing city and the people who live in it: we aim to celebrate its charm while acknowledging its shortcomings.

Limited Demographic: Submissions are restricted to those residing in or writing about the Ottawa-Gatineau area.
