About

flo. is a literary magazine dedicated to publishing short stories, creative nonfiction, and poetry by writers residing in the Ottawa-Gatineau area. flo. aims to highlight the intersections and divergences of experiences of people in one geographic region.

Ottawa-Gatineau sits at the intersection of three great rivers and two provinces, all the while existing as a liminal space between two of the biggest Canadian cities. It marks a place of communion, transition and fluidity. With each issue, flo. attempts to capture the ebb and flow of an ever changing city and the people who live in it: we aim to celebrate its charm while acknowledging its shortcomings.
