Fledgling Listing: This project is new and has been listed with us for less than six months.

About

From The Mezzanine is a passion project of mine that came to me towards the end of my senior year of college.

I had this whole path of moving to Boston, serving as a math tutor with Americorps, and start a lit-mag in a new city where I could be a part of something new and bigger than just me. I was in two publications in college and fell in love not only with the writers that submitted to us, but the process of publishing itself. Working as a team and critiquing work with likeminded people sparked something in me, and the timing was perfect.

Obviously those plans changed, but almost a year later that desire to create something still resonates within me and this is what we’ve been working on. From The Mezzzanine came out of a desire for community. To create a space for writers who feel out of place. Writers who feel that they exist in a bubble and who just want to be heard. Writers who know what it’s like to have been there, and support those who are finding their voice. Writers who feel that their art takes up too much space, or doesn’t belong in one place or another.

Join the archive, and let us show your work from the mezzanine.
