About

Hotazel Review is independent, unfunded, and edited by volunteers. We are not affiliated with any university or university programme. The journal appears once a year and is online only. We have high aspirations, hoping to inspire collaboration among artists and writers worldwide. We like peaceful people, sea glass, talking roses, and also hadedas, most of the time. Our editors have close ties with Africa, so we give writers and artists from Africa, and it’s diaspora, some extra love, but everybody is welcome. We enjoy diversity. Here is a home for African writers and African artists, as well as everyone else. The journal was founded during the hard lockdown in South Africa in 2021. Hotazel Review, with sadness and love, remembers those who lost their lives in the pandemic.
