(July 2016) About At Hypothetical, we are moved by narratives of what is yet to be achieved, and we believe that our imaginations contain not only the capacity to enable others to empathize with that which they do not experience, but also the solutions to many challenges facing our globalized world. For this reason, we bring to light literary nonfiction, fiction and poetry that is both timeless and urgent. We embrace all aesthetics and seek only the finest writing, simmered to perfection and done just right, ready to serve. Our mission is to curate the best ideas from across the United States and beyond. We seek to publish writing illustrating and challenging conventional portrayals of the experiences of the marginalized, oppressed, occupied and ignored, defined provocatively or traditionally. We are a forum that launches new voices and expands the readership of established authors. We are committed to the power of the written word to change lives, perspectives and policies. Literature is our democracy and we want you to be a citizen of our community.
