About

Inframince exists for those who linger within transitions, interstices, and peripheries. We look for work in flux, friction, and fracture.
Launched in 2026, Inframince Journal is an independent semiannual online literary and arts journal with the goal of celebrating both emerging and established writers and artists all over the world whose sensibilities lie within the micro-ruptures of everyday life.
Our name takes from Marcel Duchamp's "inframince" to signify the fleeting vestige and vibrations of moments. The barely perceptible things and ephemeral thresholds we cross. These thin, transient phenomena contain gaps we can perceive only if we are attentive to the marginal, the liminal. As such, we accept both convention and experimentation, and more that we can’t name or assign a genre to.
We are drawn to works that tremble at the precipice, barrel us toward edges and entropy, and those that make intimate the things that seem subtle, isolated, tangential, and decentered from us.
