About

our definition of "flash fiction": a "plotted" (note that the word "plotted" is placed within quotation marks - c'mon, it's "relative," okay? But we decide what's "relative" (note that the word "relative" is placed within quotation marks (twice)...)) story which contains NO MORE THAN 1,013 WORDS. we want "furiously fresh flash fiction" that defines itself through content, voice, and character. We're especially interested in work that speaks to us on a visceral level. what we won't accept: pornography, excessive violence, racial/ethnic slurs...along with some other stuff that we'll let you know about. we're not especially fond of: children's stories, romance pieces, and "lost dog tales"...along with some other stuff that we'll let you know about.
