About

Judy Magazine is a literary journal inspired in name and in spirit by my grandmother—Judy. The quiet and humble grit at the heart of my grandmother's personality, her penchant for humor, her love of family and community, instinct toward service and feminism that is modest and never performative, and her unyielding warmth is what will guide the editorial scope of this magazine. We will aim to be smart, but never condescending, good, but never elitist, dogged, but never mean, and cool without being cold or effortful.
