About

Killing the Angel magazine is a literary magazine featuring contemporary writing of all genres that explores the conflicts, joys, and complications of humanity. “The Angel in the House” is Virginia Woolf’s metaphor for the inner censor of writers—the sinister voice that whispers, “Don’t write anything controversial; be sweet; write only about sugar and spice.” Woolf instructs writers to kill the angel so that they may write freely and honestly. Following Woolf’s message, Killing the Angel magazine is for lovers of literature that breaks to the true heart of our existence. Categories for submission will include fiction, poetry, nonfiction, novella serialization, author interviews, writing contests, and writing prompts.
