Pacific Northwest Gothic is a literary journal devoted to the eerie, atmospheric, and uncanny dimensions of the Pacific Northwest. We publish fiction, poetry, and art that explore the region’s shadowed forests, coastal fog, urban isolation, and the quiet unease that lingers beneath its natural beauty.
Our work leans into the gothic in both traditional and evolving forms—stories of decay, transformation, solitude, and the supernatural, grounded in place. We are especially interested in voices that engage with the cultural, ecological, and emotional landscapes of the region, revealing what is strange, haunted, or hidden within the familiar.

Limited Demographic: Submissions are restricted to residents of Oregon, Washington, Alaska, and British Columbia, and those who have previously lived in the region.
