(January 2022) About Who needs another literary magazine? They are as numerous as the waves hitting the beach. But as any surfer can tell you, there is a perfect wave—a phenomenon that is discovered only with watchfulness. Discovering, bringing new poets from obscurity, is why Prospectus exists. The term Prospectus comes from Latin, meaning to look ahead or foresee. We seek the work of previously unpublished, yet promising poets and present it with taste and dignity to an enlightened audience. Our magazine is published quarterly. If you are an unpublished or little-published poet and you feel that you have honed and perfected your craft, we invite you to submit your best poems for consideration. We also publish short prose pieces as well as fine-art images.
