RIC is for: Red In Corner
RIC: a declaration, a dogma, a necessity. In another time, it could even have been a religion. An aesthetic observation, all equilibrated pictures obey to this golden rule: presence of a red spot somewhere in the corner. It’s the golden number, a harmonic line, it’s the music of the gods. But it extends beyond images, beyond surfaces, beyond the visible.
No sublime human creation is perfect; it’s the little failed detail, the RIC, that turns it into a masterpiece.
