San Pedro River Review is a perfect-bound journal of poetry and art. First published in 2009, SPRR is named for the river that flows north from the mountains of Sonora, Mexico, into Arizona.

Limited Demographic: Submissions are restricted to those who have never submitted to fiction or poetry to SPRR before, & those they published for the first time since 2020.

Though not our only interest, we have a strong like for poetry of Place and the relationship between lives and landscapes. Most importantly, we seek an economy of language with a keen focus on voice and image. We like a touch of Lorca's duende that loves ledges and wounds.
