SCAB Magazine About SCAB is a literary and art zine for outsiders – those who don’t fit in.Most popular transgressive literature today claims to be “outrageous” and “shocking” yet toes the line carefully enough not to get too close to reality – not to become unmarketable by showing a glimpse of something most people don’t want to see at all or want to see only from a safe distance.SCAB wants to eliminate that distance. It wants to give a home to the work of those who might feel like they don’t have a voice in mainstream circles, literary or otherwise – those whose realities and self-expression might be considered too outrageous and shocking to be made visible.SCAB also wants to give a home to those who take the true spirit of transgression seriously enough to put themselves at risk of appearing unacceptable. Those whose work – quoting Nick Zedd on transgressive cinema – “go[es] beyond all limits set or prescribed by taste, morality or any other traditional value system shackling the minds of men.” Country of Publication & Year Established United States Established in 2017 Publication Medium & Frequency Electronic Publication Electronic PublicationPublished 2 x per year AI Policy Unknown AI policy Statistics Synopsis FasterSCAB Magazine's overall average response time is faster than most magazines.
