Some Words

About

Hi! This is Some Words, a literary journal published on a message board.

You might be thinking “what???,” which is fair. Let me explain.

I had an online forum obsession from approximately 2004-2008, spending almost all my free time posting on sports message boards. I’m still Facebook friends with multiple people I met through one high school football forum.

I’ve been thinking for a while about launching a new literary journal, but I didn’t want it to just be the same old thing, you know? I wanted something that felt true to me, and because I’m historically terrible at things like “updating my website,” making a site on Wordpress seemed like a mistake, and because I have a bad habit of not opening emails, a newsletter also seemed like a mistake. And so, here we are—a message board. Work will be published as a new thread in the “Work” section.
