Spout Magazine A project of Spout Press (see other related projects). About Spout lives at the intersection of the interdisciplinary, previously publishing the written work of musicians, the printed poetry of spoken word artists, historians’ cultural criticism, community organizers’ personal essays, and doodled agitprop. We publish poetry, fiction, translation, and thought. Our “Thought” section includes any literary genre of nonfiction, including personal essays, cultural criticism, interdisciplinary yet artistic and playful reviews of books, music, theatre, film & TV, art exhibitions, and performance. We encourage hybrid pieces as well, so submit work to the genre that it most closely resembles. Voluntary Fees: This project accepts voluntary fees for "tip jar" submissions.
